To succesfuly use the R4 DS` you will need two additional things:
- A Nintendo DS (Lite)
- A MicroSD cart` 1 or 2 GB.
The NIntendo DS Lite costs aproximately 130 dollars.
A MicroSD cart of 1 gb costs aproximately $8` and the 2 gb version aproximately $12.50.
Games for the R4 DS can be downloaded at www.ninpower.com (these are commercial games like Super Mario` Pokemon and Mario Kart) or at Nds homebrew (homebrew games like Pacman and poker).
How do i use the R4 DS?
1. Put the MicroSD cart into the MicroSD Reader that was delivered with the R4 DS.
2. Put it into the USB port of your computer and place games onto the MicroSD cart. (See paragraph above for downloadlocations). Is this the first time that you use the MicroSD? In that case` also place the R4 DS software onto the cart.
3. Remove the MicroSD reader from the computer and the MicroDS out of the MicroSD reader. Insert the MicroSD into the MicroSD Reader.
4. Insert the R4 DS into the Nintendo DS and turn on the Nintendo DS. Have fun playing!
